Paeonia, 'Roselette' hybrid herbaceous peony
Notable characteristics: Warm pink, elegantly formed, cup-shaped single with striking center of golden stamens. Color changes to a softer pink as the flower ages. Excellent landscape plant, no staking required! Very early to bloom in our garden
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: Hybrid, Saunders, 1950.
Growth habit and size at maturity: Upright, grows to 30'' tall and 30'' wide.
Flower form and size: Single, 4-5" and upward facing.
Flower fragrance: Very light.
Bloom time: Early season hybrid peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second or third week of May.
Zone hardiness: USDA zones 3-9.
Plant size: 3 'eye' plants with a well developed root system. This is slower growing variety than many others and so plant may be smaller than our standard 4-5 eye divisions.
