Paeonia, 'Raspberry Charm' hybrid herbaceous peony

Notable characteristics: Raspberry-coral, semi-double to full double form, often blooming in two flower forms on the same plant.  Excellent stem strength. Reliable bloomer with good disease resistance. The color is darker than 'Coral Charm' or 'Coral Sunset', so if you like these in your garden, this one adds more depth of color. Great as a cut flower or a landscape plant.

Hybridizer, year introduced: Wissing/Klehm, 1985.

Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Grows to 32" tall and 32" wide.

Flower form and size: Semi-double, 4-5", borne on strong stems.

Flower fragrance: Fresh green-scented. This variety is grown for its great color and stem strength in the landscape. Needs no support of the stems.

Bloom time: Early-season herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first or second week of June.

Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.


Plant size: Field dug, bare root plant have 4-5 'eyes' or buds with proportional roots.
