Notable characteristics: Light yellow blossoms delicately edged in rose with dark flares. Flowers cupped and contrast well against the dark foliage. Blossoms held well on the shrub. 

Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: Lutea hybird, Saunders, 1950.

Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Spreading habit, to 3' tall and and 4' wide.

Flower form and size: Loose single blossoms to 6-8".

Flower fragrance: Light, spicy-sweet.

Bloom time: Late season tree peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first or second week of June.

Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.

Plant size: Well established older plant with 10-12 woody branches. This is a mature plant that will make an instant impact in the garden.
