Davidia involucrata, ‘Lady Dahlia’ Dove Tree

Variety description: The leaves of this dove tree cultivar feature early spring variegation of chartreuse and deep-green. By mid-summer the contrast is less pronounced on the heart shaped, saw toothed foliage. The dramatic white bracts that Davidia are famous for will eventually appear (when the tree reaches maturity) in May-June
Height and Spread at Maturity: Pyramidal form, 20' tall and 10' wide.
Site requirements: Part shade location. Dove tree prefers well-drained soils, but will tolerate sandy or clay soil with adequate drainage
Hardiness: USDA zones 6-9. This cultivar has grow well for us in our cold zone 6a garden.
Plant size: Grafted tree, grown in a 2 gallon container.
