Notable characteristics: This peony is the result of a cross between the Chinese tree peony Paeonia rockii and a Japanese tree peony. This is a one-of-a-kind, seed grown plant. The seed was planted in 2012, and the peony flowered very well last spring. A very attractive landscape plant, in the softest shade of pink to white. Plum center with gold stamens is a hidden surprise when the flower opens.
Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Upright, flowers held well above the foliage. Grows to about 4.5' tall and 4' wide.
Flower form and size: Semi-double, 8", very ruffled.
Flower fragrance: Sweet.
Bloom time: Early-season blooming, flowers in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second week of May.
