Notable characteristics: Flowers are very ruffled full doubles, in a deep reddish-magenta with darker purple tones. A complex and very beautiful flower.
Cultivar group, area of origin:P. rockii, developed by Chen Dezhong of the Peace Peony Garden in Lanzhou, Gansu province, introduced in 1986.
