Largo, herbaceous peony
Notable characteristics: Velvety medium pink guard petals surround a mound of yellow staminoids. Carpels are tipped in the same tone of medium pink as the outer petals. Excellent stem strength. Vigorous grower. Deer resistant. Herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide free. Grown in Connecticut.
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: P. lactiflora, Vories, 1929.
Growth habit and size at maturity: Grows to 3' tall and 3' wide.
Flower form and size: Anemone double, 6".
Flower fragrance: Light, sweet.
Bloom time: Mid-season blooming herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first week of June.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.
Plant size: 4-5 'eyes' or buds with proportional roots. This size plant will most likely flower its first or second season.
When we ship: Orders will ship in FALL 2017.
