Cricket Hill Garden
Paeonia, 'Tamara's Treasure' tree peony
Notable characteristics: This plant originated as an open pollinated seedling from our garden which first bloomed around 2010. From the beginning, we have been impressed with this cultivar’s dense rows of stiff petals, lending the flowers a look of substance. Plum lavender color of the petals deepens towards to interior. Small dark flares at the base of the petals belie this plant's Paeonia rockii heritage. Blossoms carry a good fragrance. Foliage has distinct blueish tint. Leaflets are long and elegant.
