Intersectional 'Itoh' peony 'Cora Louise'

**This is a potted plant for curbside pickup at the nursery. 

Notable characteristics: Blossoms open lavender and change to white with deep purple-red flares. Petals are slightly ruffled, thick and smooth and look as if they are made of satin. Excellent grower!  Intersectional or "Itoh" hybrid peonies are crosses between tree and herbaceous peonies. Deer resistant.

Hybridizer, year introduced: Roger Anderson, 1986.

Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Symmetrical, flowers held well above the foliage. Grows to 2.5' tall and 3' wide.

Flower form and size: Semi-double, 8" on strong stems.

Flower fragrance: Light and sweet.

Bloom time: Mid-season intersectional peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first or second week of June.

Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-9.

 

Plant size: 4-5 'eyes' or buds with large, proportional roots. Potted up into a 2 gallon container.
