Notable characteristics: Large ruffled semi-double pink blossoms are produced in profusion on this lower growing tree peony. An excellent plant to start a collection, especially if you are looking for a fragrant, multi-shaded pink tree peony.

Cultivar group, area of origin: Central Plains cultivar group, introduced by Team 10 of the Zhaolou Peony Garden in 1975.

Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Spreading, grows to 3' tall and 3' wide. Ideal for gardens where space is limited.

Flower form and size: Ruffled semi-double, 8-9".


Flower fragrance: Delicate, spicy-sweet.

Bloom time: Mid-season tree peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second or third week of May.
