 Notable characteristics: 

 A mature, 7 yr. old tree peony,  grown from seed collected in our display garden. With over 400 different tree peony cultivars in our collection from China and Japan this unique tree peony has a diverse heritage. This is a one-of-a-kind plant.

A very attractive landscape shrub that will be an impressive specimen. Deer resistant. Herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide free. Grown in Connecticut.

This plant seems to be somewhat dwarf, well suited for a smaller garden.

Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Upright, flowers held well above the foliage. Expect this tree peony to grow to about 2.5' tall and 3' wide.

Flower form and size: Lotus form, 7-8".

Flower fragrance: Sweet.

Bloom time: Early-season blooming, flowers in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second week of May.

Zone hardiness: Proven is USDA zones 4-9.

Plant size: 7 year old tree peony with five heavy woody stems, multiple side branching and a well developed root system. This size plant has flower buds set and will likely flower its first spring in the ground. Size now is 2.5' tall and 2.5' wide.
