Notable characteristics: Blossoms glow against the glossy green foliage. The buds are first seen with more tones of pink, then the flowers open white with a distinct blush. As they age, they mellow into the palest shades of champagne and white. Great strong stems for a beautiful display.
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: P. lactiflora, Eugene Lins, of Cologne, Minnesota, 1955.
Growth habit and size at maturity : Somewhat compact grower, reaching 30-32" tall and 36" wide.
Flower form and size: Full double form blossoms, 6-7" in diameter.
Flower fragrance: Light, and sweet.
Bloom time: Mid-season herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the late May- early June.
Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 3-9.
Plant size: 4-5 'eye' or bud plants with a well developed root system. This size plant will most likely flower its first spring in the ground.
