Cricket Hill Garden
Paeonia, 'Buckeye Belle' hybrid herbaceous peony
Notable characteristics: Stunning dark red outer petals give way to a complex center of narrow inner petals, accented with yellow and red. They are very attractive flowers which contrast well with the dark jade green foliage. A medium height plant, growing to 30'', with strong stems, it does not require staking. Great for cutting or garden display. In our garden, 'Buckeye Belle' is considered an early bloomer, one to two weeks before our later June peonies. An American Peony Society Gold Medal winner.
