Actinovate, organic fungicide
Actinovate 2 oz. powder (makes up to 36 gal.)
Actinovate® for Lawn & Garden is a high concentration of a patented beneficial bacterium in a 100% water soluble powder. Listed for organic use under the guidelines of the USDA's National Organics Program.
This powerful new product effectively suppresses & controls a wide range of root rots and damping off caused by pathogens like Pythium, Phytophthora, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Verticillium and other root decay fungi. Actinovate for Lawn & Garden is also effective as a spray application for foliar diseases such as Powdery and Downy Mildew, Black Spot, Botrytis, Alternaria and others.
The benefits of Actinovate for Lawn & Garden don't stop there: because of the special properties of the Actinovate microbe, plants will have increased vitality and much better root growth. The beneficial bacterium will colonize in the soil, and help nutrient uptake through the root zone.
At Cricket Hill Garden, we have found it superior to using copper sulfate, which builds up metal in the soil. We are very excited to have found a safe and effective product like Actinovate to use on the fungal problems of peonies.
Start using Actinovate early in spring in areas that are known to be contaminated with fungus, or use as a preventative. May be applied as a soil drench or a spray, every 10 days to 2 weeks in cold, wet spring weather and again later in the growing season if weather is rainy and fungal damage with molds or spotting is evident on leaves or stems.
The 2 oz. powder mixes with water ( 1/2 tsp. to a gallon of water) to make approximately 36 gallons. Use as a drench or a foliar spray on affected plants. Follow manufacturer directions printed on the fold-out sheet attached to package.
