Notable characteristics:Reddish pink blossoms are neatly displayed above the foliage. The inner petals of the flowers are asymmetrical (shishizaki), a trait for which some Japanese tree peonies are selected. Beautiful long leaves. Deer resistant. Herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide free. Grown in Connecticut.
This peony is named after the lion dance preformed as part of the Kagura, a form of Shinto theatrical dance.
