Notable characteristics: This peony is the result of a cross between the Chinese tree peony Paeonia rockii and a Japanese tree peony. This is a one-of-a-kind, seed grown plant. The seed was planted in 2013, and the peony flowered very well this spring. A very attractive landscape plant, with the very lightest hint of pink.
Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): Upright, flowers held well above the foliage. Grows to about 4.5' tall and 4' wide.
Flower form and size: Semi-double, 8-10".
Flower fragrance: Sweet.
Bloom time: Early-season blooming, flowers in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second week of May.
Zone hardiness: Proven is USDA zones 4-9.
Plant size: 6 year old tree peony with multiple woody stems, side branching and a well developed root system. This size plant has flower buds set and will most likely flower its first spring in the ground.
