Notable characteristics: A rarely offered selection made by the discerning eye of peony hybridizer Henry Sass almost 90 years ago! Light pink petals are neatly arranged to form generous full double flowers on strong stems. Makes an excellent cut flower with a sweet rose-like scent. Fully open flowers are large and may need support in the landscape.
Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: Lactiflora, Sass, 1932.
Growth habit and size at maturity (10 years old): 3' tall and 3' wide.
Flower form and size: Double, 6-8".
Flower fragrance: Sweet, rose scent.
Bloom time: Mid-season lactiflora herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first week June.
