Paeonia, Julia Rose, intersectional 'Itoh' peony

$ 65 $ 89

Notable characteristics: This is a beautiful flower, one of our visitors' favorites! This peony is known as an intersectional, or "Itoh"' which is a cross between a tree and a herbaceous peony. It will grow in full sun, or 5-6 hours of sun, in well-drained soil. The flowers are large, opening a deep rose, changing to peach and ending a pale yellow color. Size is 7-8 inches in diameter, with a light, sweet fragrance. It is a fast growing plant, height to about 34 inches tall and spreading to 36 inches wide. Deer resistant.

It is still rare and not widely sold. It was hybridized by Roger Anderson in the U.S. and we think it is a real prize plant to add to
a peony collection.
