Name in Chinese and pin yin大富貴 Da Fu Gui

Notable characteristics: Perfectly proportioned dark pink flowers on this good, stout grower with matte green, elliptical leaves. The plant has a great form and stand upright without staking.

Species, place of origin: Paeonia lactiflora, Luoyang city, Henan province, China.

Growth habit and size at maturity : Grows to 2.5' tall and wide.

Flower form and size: Well-formed, 5" double blossoms, handsomely held above the foliage on strong stems.

Flower fragrance: Sweet, spicy rose fragrance.

Bloom time: Mid-season herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the second week of June.

Zone hardiness: Proven in USDA zones 4-8.


Plant size: 4-5 'eyes' or buds with proportional roots.
