Notable characteristics: A true American beauty for your garden. This peony has twice been honored with the American Peony Society's Gold Medal, in 1956 & 1971. Blush pink buds open to large, cupped, pure white flowers with a center of golden stamens. Good stem strength. Vigorous grower and prolific bloomer.

Cultivar group, hybridizer and year introduced: P. lactiflora, Mann-van Steen, 1936

Growth habit and size at maturity: Grows to 3' tall and 3.5' wide.

Flower form and size: Full double, 7-8".

Flower fragrance: Sweet, rich scent.

Bloom time: Mid-season blooming herbaceous peony, blooms in our USDA zone 6a garden in the first week of June.
