Floral Rivalry- Hana Kisoi , Japanese tree peony ’) Sweetly scented, deeply cupped flowers of light cherry pink. Each petal is darker at the base and curls around a center of golden stamens. We have been growing these plants for 3 + years and they have flowered for us in May of '08 on one main branch with multiple offshoot branches. Current size is about 24". Fast growing plants grow to 4-feet at maturity. Nearly perfect flower form. Order and reserve for spring 2008 shipping to USDA zones 4-7.
Well formed flowers, shaped like a tea rose, these 7-8 inch flowers bloom in a saturated shade of pink. The blooms are held well above the foliage and the fragrance is light and sweet.
Fast growing plants grow 4-feet tall and wide at maturity (10 years old).
This plant can be shipped in dormancy in spring to USDA zones 4-7, and in fall to zones 8 & 9. We have found that spring planting will not do well in these warmer zones, but fall is very successful.
