Stock#: tp-gpr Price: $125.00 Great Peace Red Tai Ping Hong Chinese tree peony, 4+ year old plant, 4-5 branches. This tree peony belongs to the Southwest cultivar group and is a new addition to our collection. This classical variety is traditionally grown around the city of Chongqing in Sichuan province. We have begun to test this variety because it is traditionally grown in pots. With a matted and spreading root system it seems very suitable for container growing. Double form blossoms open a dark shade of reddish pink and gradually fade to a multi-shaded silver pink. Good, sweet fragrance. Early season bloomer. Expect this tree peony to reach 4' x 4' at maturity. This peony can be shipped to USDA zones 4-7 in spring.
