Yellow River, Chinese rockii tree peony, 5-6 yrs. old

Stock#: ylrv-3 Price: $250.00 Yellow River, 5/6 yr. old, 5/6 strong woody stems. Very rare cream- yellow color flower upon opening changes to ivory-white in full bloom. Size is about 32 inches tall and wide, with foliage. Will grow to a five foot specimen in a few more years. RARE AND LIMITED. USDA zones 4-7 will ship in spring. Warmer zones of 8 & 9 are best planted December - January and can ship now. We especially like this pale yellow color, which opens light yellow and changes to ivory-white in bright sunlight. Note that the dark flares at the petals' base are very restrained and well defined, unlike some rockii flowers which are painted in a heavy hand. This cultivar has bloomed well for us, so this plant is very well established. Flowers are about 8 inches in diameter, and are held well above the foliage. Flowers have a dense, sweet fragrance. All rockii hybrids are vigorous and tall growing, and extremely floriferous. Expect this plant to grow to 5 ft. tall and 4 ft. wide by the 10-12th year.
