This peony is an intersectional, which is a cross between a tree and a herbaceous peony. It will grow in full sun, or 5-6 hours of sun, in well-drained soil.The flowers are large, scarlet to deep red color, 7-8 inches in diameter, with a light fragrance. It is a fast growing plant, growing to about 34 inches tall and spreading. It is still rare and not widely seen. It was hybridized by Roger Anderson in the U.S. and we think it is a worth having in any peony collection. We have very good plants available for transplanting in spring dormancy. Plants have 3 eyes, well balanced roots, likely to bloom in 1-2 years. This plant can be shipped in spring to USDA zones 4-7. Zones 8 & 9 will be shipped in fall.
