We have been growing this for more than 15 years, and due to popular interest at the nursery, we have decided to offer it online. A spikey maroon red color, with darker flares at the base of the petals, just 4-5 inches wide. The foliage is finely cut and glossy. The shrub is dwarf, growing only about 24 inches tall and reaching about 30 inches wide. Prefers the full sun to maximize the flowers. Hybridized by F.Simone in the early 1990's. Prefers full sun, well-drained soil with added compost. In the fall, after the frost, it is cut down and returns each spring as a larger plant. Roots have 5-6 eyes, and are well balanced.
