Empress Wu's Yellow, Herbaceous Peony

Stock#: h13 Price: $99.00 This plant is a herbaceous hybrid with its origins in a Central Asian species peony named "macrophylla" and other paeonia species. We named this peony after a famous 7th century Empress of China. It is our best yellow hybrid, a mid-tone clear yellow, an outstanding color in any garden. These peonies will bloom earlier in the season. Expect this one to bloom with the tree peonies; which means they are 2 weeks earlier than most other herbaceous peonies. Single to lotus form flowers, in a clear mid-tone yellow color that is highly prized in peonies. Stems are very strong and need no staking. The plant size is 3-4 ft. and flowers average 5-6 inches.
